ENROLL NOWIf you’ve been curious about accent training but unsure where to start, this workshop gives you a clear, low-pressure entry point.
Rather than focusing on theory, phonetics, or complex frameworks, this course walks you through how a single accent training session is planned and structured — from goal-setting to activities to homework — with a focus on intelligibility and real-world communication.
You’ll learn the decision-making behind:
- Choosing appropriate first-session goals
- Structuring session time
- Designing simple, effective practice activities
- Assigning homework that supports progress without overwhelm
The goal is not to train you to teach every sound or run assessments.
The goal is to help you understand what an effective first session looks like and feels like — so you can decide whether this work is something you want to pursue further.
By the end of the course, you’ll have:
- A clear framework for planning a basic accent training session
- The confidence to apply what you’ve learned outside the course, if appropriate
- Clarity about whether accent training fits your professional interests

Meet Your Instructor: Jessica Kijowski, MS, CCC-SLP
I’m an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 26 years of experience in accent and pronunciation training. My professional work has been focused almost entirely on adult communication enhancement through a full-time, private-pay accent training practice. Over decades of hands-on work, I’ve seen what actually works in real sessions, where people tend to get stuck, and how this work can be taught and offered ethically and effectively.
I’ve worked with a wide range of speakers, including award-winning actors, voice-over artists, executives, educators, lawyers, diplomats, and professional voice users from around the world. In addition to my private practice, I’ve developed online training programs and certification pathways to help other instructors learn this work with clarity, structure, and confidence. Everything I teach is grounded in real-world experience and designed to help people refine their personal speaking style in a way that feels practical, respectful, and sustainable.
