About Me

I am a speech language pathologist who specializes in empowering international professionals gain confidence in their communication abilities.

I have spent the last 20 years of my career providing students the skills for precise and clear sound acquisition to be effective communicators. Accents are truly unique and intriguing and while an individual's goals might be different, we all strive to be strong and confident communicators in our speech in both our professional and everyday lives.

It is my passion to give each individual the tools and strategies they need to share their ideas with ease and professionalism to navigate and advance in their careers.  

My Approach

Every individual has a unique speech pattern and depending on your goals, I will analyze that speech pattern and develop personalized lesson plans where each week we will target a specific goal.

Each lesson will include: strengthening listening skills through auditory differentiation, instructing on how a specific target sound is produced, practicing that sound at a word, phrase and sentence level. We will put those strategies to work in conversation practice where we can start building new motor pathways for successful sound acquisition in real time.

Our sessions are engaging, fun and most importantly a supportive place to make mistakes and learn freely while working towards your goals.

Amanda Castillo Leon is an active member of the Accent Channel Instructor Network, a network of highly qualified speech and communication coaches who have completed specialized training in the Accent Channel Method. Through ongoing professional development and access to comprehensive teaching and practice resources, network members are equipped to provide a structured, personalized learning experience designed to help students achieve meaningful, lasting results.
