Coaching Speech Confidence

Pronunciation Is Just the Beginning

When people think about improving their speech, they often focus on pronunciation—but that’s just one piece of the puzzle. In reality, becoming a confident, compelling speaker involves so much more.

I work with both native and non-native English speakers to help them feel empowered in any speaking situation—leading a meeting, delivering a presentation, or just having a clear, relaxed conversation.

Yes, we work on pronunciation.
But we also focus on intonation—the rise and fall of your voice that adds meaning and emotion to your words. Intonation helps you express yourself more naturally and form deeper, more authentic connections with others.

We also do voice training exercises that build resonance and vocal power. These techniques don’t just make you sound better—they keep your voice healthy and strong, especially if you speak a lot during the day.

Many of my students also enjoy expanding their vocabulary and idiomatic expressions. The more words you have at your fingertips, the easier it is to express yourself clearly—and the more engaging you become as a speaker.

And here's something I always tell my students:
Even as a native speaker, I still practice voice, speech, and vocabulary exercises almost every day. These tools help me show up with clarity and confidence—whether I’m teaching a class, recording a YouTube video, or speaking live on social media.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about how you sound.
It’s about how you feel when you speak.

If you’re curious about how this teaching approach works and why it helps students thrive, take a listen to the video above.
