The Accent Channel
Why It Matters
As an ASHA Approved CE Provider, The Accent Channel is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of participant and personnel records. This document outlines our policies for collecting, using, storing, and safeguarding personally identifiable information (PII).

- Personally Identifiable Information Collected
The Accent Channel collects only the information necessary to process enrollments, deliver our courses, and report CEUs to ASHA. Information collected may include:
- Full name
- Email address
- Mailing address (if certificates or physical materials are sent)
- Phone number (optional)
- Professional credentials
- Payment details (collected securely via third-party processor)
- Completion status and participation metrics for ASHA CEU reporting
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security Numbers or government IDs.
- Use of Participant Information
All participant data is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Course registration and login access
- Delivery of course content and participant support
- Issuing ASHA CEUs, PD hours, CE hours, and certificates of completion
- Internal recordkeeping and audit compliance
- Program feedback and evaluation surveys
We do not sell, rent, or share participant data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Participant names and email addresses may be shared only with:
- ASHA for the purpose of CEU reporting
- Internal instructional staff and support coaches for course facilitation
- Sharing with Third Parties
Participant data is only shared with third parties under the following conditions:
- With ASHA CEU staff for reporting participation and credit
- With contracted third-party platforms (e.g., Kajabi, Zoom, Stripe) that provide secure course hosting, payment processing, or video conferencing—only to the extent necessary to fulfill their services
- Under legal obligation or court order
All vendors and third-party services must comply with current data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Data Storage and Security
Digital Security
- All participant data is stored in secure, password-protected systems including:
- Kajabi (for course content and user progress)
- Stripe (for payment processing – no credit card data is stored directly by The Accent Channel)
- Google Workspace (for communication, backups, and forms)
- Dropbox (for backup)
- Access to sensitive data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
- Two-factor authentication is enabled on all admin accounts.
- Regular data backups are maintained to ensure business continuity.
Transportation of Data
- Participant data is never physically transported (e.g., on USB drives or printed documents).
- If any data is downloaded for reporting or backup, it is stored on encrypted and password-protected drives and deleted when no longer needed.
Data Accuracy and Updates
- Participants can request access to their data or submit updates at any time by emailing: [email protected]
- Evaluation and participation records are reviewed for accuracy prior to CEU submission.
- All records are retained for seven years in accordance with ASHA’s requirements.

- Made available to staff during onboarding and training
- Reviewed annually by the CE Administrator
- Linked inside course dashboard
- Available upon request
