It Takes This Long For A Student To Choose YOU!

If you want to teach accents and pronunciation, don't wait until you feel ready to work with students to start setting up your marketing plan.

I made this mistake back in 2012 when I started my own business.  I couldn't understand why I had no students for the first few months!!!

I was a great teacher with lots of experience and an excellent track record for getting results.  But students were not scheduling.  What was I doing wrong?

Turns out, I wasn't doing anything wrong.  I just had to be patient and consistent with marketing.

Did you know that on average, it takes a potential student between 7 and 18 months to decide to commit and actually schedule an accent or pronunciation training session with you?

It’s true!!! 99% of people don’t make any sort of commitment the first time they find your website or notice you on social media.

Think about it from your perspective. When was the last time that you bought something small like a book or some new skin care product without doing at least a little research first? (Can we say Amazon reviews? Everyone trusts those little yellow stars!)

Now think about a high-ticket item, like private accent training sessions, which can range from $75.00 to $200.00 per hour! That’s quite a commitment and not something I’d sign up for the first time I found out about a new teacher.

That’s where the 7-18 months come in. As a potential student learns more about you, your teaching style, and the results you can offer, they slowly start to trust you and now the commitment doesn’t seem so overwhelming.

And that's exactly what happened with my business.  I had a flood of students enroll about 8 months after I started.  8 years later, I have so many students that I have a waitlist and pass referrals on to the teachers in my training program!!!

But to make it happen, you need to be doing things to build trust and establish your expertise over that 7-18 months.

So what are you doing to build trust and establish yourself as an expert?   What’s your plan for continuing the conversation and being in your potential student’s mind when they are ready to make that commitment and enroll in your programs?

I did this through a really effective email marketing strategy and if you’re interested in learning more about how I find new students and get consistent enrollments, check out my Teacher Training program

You'll learn how to teach accents and pronunciation BUT YOU'LL ALSO learn to set up a proven marketing plan.  The marketing plan is a BIG part of the program because without students, you don’t have a business.  And that's the whole point of learning all the teaching techniques, right?

Teaching accents and pronunciation is such rewarding work.  It's worth putting in some marketing time and effort to make it happen.
